For so many tournaments I have been to, nakita ko na at nakalaban lahat ng mga nag qualify sa FAS Mindanao Finals. Here is my list of teams, in no particular order, in my opinion are the best in the business in Mindanao (nasa lista man o wala):
1. ATU Zamboanga
One of the quickest team in the field. Hindi lang first man mabilis sa kanila kundi silang lahat mabibilis maglaro. Ang hirap tamaan at hirap hanapin ng mga ito dahil sa liksi at galling nila ma skirmish man or ma objective type game pa. Pag mabagal kumilos team nyo, huwag nyo nang asahang manalo pa or maunahan sila sa mga objectives ng laro. Plus, this team has the stamina to start out quick in the first day and finish it up in the same manner on the last day. Kahit tatlong araw pa ang torneyo asahan mo andyan pa rin sila.
2. SEALS Davao
Isa sa mga team na masarap panoorin kung maglaro. Their main weapons are coordination and teamwork. Alam na alam nila ang galaw ng bawat isa kaya very fluid ang execution ng mga kilos nila. They lean towards obtaining their objective not by speed but by effective military-like tactics and precision. Para silang spec ops kung gumalaw. Don’t get too comfortable if you believe your team is much faster than team SEALS Davao. They can take you down one by one easy if you are not on your toes.
3. DAWG Marawi
Team DAWG is an epitome of the word “Agression”. They play with heart, zeal, and determination. Deep inside they always believe they can win kahit sino kalaban nila. Dagdag nyo pa experience nila with so many tournament attendance. Lahat na yata ng tournaments sinasalihan nila saan man sa Pilipinas kaya lamang sila sa karanasan at kabisado na nila kung paano maglaro makakalaban nila. Very confusing tactics nila, hindi textbook but very effective, kaya masarap silang panoorin. Lalaban ang team na ito hanggang sa kahulihulihang tao nila.
4. DWARF Cagayan de Oro
Speed, quickness, and tactics are some of team DWARF strong points. But, I think their main weapon is their adaptability. Never have I seen a team that can adjust to a better or winning tactic in the middle of a game. And they do this with ease na para bang natural na sa kanila. Mahirap talunin ang team na to coz they communicate very well, changes gameplan every game, executes their gameplan effectively, and they have very skilled players. Im not from this team but I find them the most dominating team and one of the best teams in Mindanao if not the best. Sayang hindi sila nakasali.
5. DELTA SS Davao
Mauutak ang team DELTA SS. They can determine the weakness of their opponent and capitalize on it. A team that is good in positioning. They can utilize everything inside the gamesite to their advantage and that includes the marshalls. Yung wa wardy-wardy na marshall jan huwag kayong kukurap at mauutakan kayo ng team Delta SS. Natatawa nga ako minsan pag napapanood ko sila habang naglalaro. I think this team has the quickest first man in the league. He isn’t the fastest but the quickest and added to this is the teams deep understanding of the playing field which makes them a force to reckon with.
There you have it folks, my personal views of what I considered as the best teams in Mindanao. Gawin ko sanang top 10 pero parang mahaba na. I could have included the “King of CQBs” team NPA-Davao, the ever consistent Team PAGI of Pagadian, the experienced and veteran Team MALCOM of Bukidnon, the resilient and innovative team ISAP of Iligan, and a tie between the lovely and deadly all women teams WOW of Cagayan de Oro and Team TAMSE of Bukidnon. Dapat lang masali ang dalawang all women teams na to ito since these teams have been confronting hardened all guys team for so many tournaments now, and mind you they kick @$$. Di biro po ang ginagawa nila.
So, good luck to all the teams who will playing in this coming FAS Mindanao Finals, and to the organizers, may the best 5 teams win! Sulong Mindanao!!!
